CAAAM’s Kwanzaa CelebrationDecember 27 - 29, 2022
The Clemson Area African American Museum (CAAAM) will be celebrating the seven principles of Kwanzaa during three days, December 27 - 29, 2022.
Kwanzaa celebrates the ties that bind African communities in the diaspora with 7 principles of life: Unity - UMOJA, Self-Determination - KUJICHAGULIA, Collective Work & Responsibility - UJIMA, Cooperative Economics - UJAMAA, Purpose - NIA, Creativity - KUUMBA and Faith- IMANI.
The Kwanzaa celebration is as follows:Tuesday 12/27 at 6:30 pmUNITY (UMOJA) & SELF DETERMINATION (KUJICHAGULIA)The first day of the Kwanzaa celebration will be a festive day of African drumming, food and celebration of “Unity in the Community”.
Wednesday 12/28 at 6:30 pmCOLLECTIVE WORK & RESPONSIBILITY (UJIMA)
