Every year we host a spectacular, one-of-a-kind event in conjunction with the Canadian Pacific holiday train. We are uniquely situated right along the tracks so that our view is like no other and our crowds have reached up to 700 attendees! Carolers, live music, bonfires, hot chocolate and warm donuts, warming spices & bourbon. We're offering levels of cozy you cannot even begin to imagine. We've got it all and it's one hell of a night. This event is what keeps our lights on and we hope you'll join us! WHERE: Carbon Athletic Club- 111 Gates St. Detroit, MI 48209 WHO: All ages! Members & non-members! Ticket prices include an intro membership fee, which allows you to purchase alcohol for the evening. We're also offering immediate acceptance for all new member sign-ups that day! WHEN: 6-11pm (train usually rolls through anytime between 8p-10pm) HOW: $10 entry gets you in the door. If you decide to pay the day of, you'll have a few extra bucks to fork over if you're not a current member. So pay now and avoid the hassle! MUSIC: We were super lucky to snag a very favorite group of ours.. 7 Layers! If you've not seen them yet, now's your chance! They've got the horns and the buzz and will keep you dancing all night long (when you're not caroling). FOOD: Only the best for you this holiday eve... DELRAY BBQ will be pulling up and offering you the best BBQ in the damn city! We'll also be serving up some warm cinnamon donuts! BEVERAGE: We'll of course have the entire bar open, but we've also partnered with STROH'S to keep ya's hydrated with the finest golden liquid this side of the tracks! We'll have hot chocolate and sodas for the kiddos, but you know we'll also be stocked on the Bailey's & peppermint schnapps for a lil extra cuteness. THINGS TO NOTE: Dress warm! We'll have the bonfires going but our capacity is only 110 inside the building so you'll likely be spending a bit of time outdoors. We'll also have hand warmers for sale!We are CASH ONLY! Please come prepared and with smaller bills please (making change is hard when you see 700 people rolling in to enjoy the show). We will have designated parking with scheduled security. Please be sure to use these lots and avoid keeping valuables in your car. We can never be sure the train will be lit. Every year we hear rumblings that it won't be, as the section of rail line is not CP owned (or something?). We believe we continue to see the lights because we are a well-behaved group and have not experienced any safety issues as of yet.
