Bucks Co. Man Among 14 Pennsylvanians Arrested At Capitol Riots

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A Donald Trump supporter from Bucks County was among the 14 Pennsylvanians arrested in connection with Wednesday's riots at the Capitol, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Thursday. Jim Sinclair, 38, of Bensalem, was charged with violating curfew and possession of a prohibited weapon. The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia has made 69 arrests in connection with Wednesday's riots. Common charges include curfew violation, unlawful assembly, simple assault and disorderly conduct, while others have been charged with assault on police, rioting, burglary, defacing public property and threatening to kidnap or cause injury. Related: 14 Pennsylvanians Arrested At Capitol Riots Sinclair posted on his Facebook page last month that it was time to spill the "blood of tyrants,", the Inquirer reported. On Wednesday, shortly after Trump supporters successfully stormed the Capitol building, he wrote: "It's 1776, the American people have ears and eyes. We will not accept this fraudulent election", the newspaper said. These posts and others have since been deleted. Wednesday's protests turned violent in the afternoon after mobs breached the Capitol building during a special joint session of U.S. Congress that was being held to certify the election victory of Joe Biden. Congress later convened early Thursday morning to certify the results. Five people lost their lives during Wednesday's events, including a Schuylkill County man and Capitol Hill Police Officer Brian Sicknik, who had ties to New Jersey. The FBI and the Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying others who were involved in Wednesday's events. Anyone who saw unlawful violent actions is asked to submit their information, photos or videos to fbi.gov/USCapitol. Witnesses can also call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-‪800-225-5324) to report tips.
