If someone can help on what section to post this on, that’d be great
This is yet again another long shot, I posted here a few weeks ago on asking for advice as a trans guy with no stable income or housing. I thought a lot about it and it comes down to a lot of personal reasons that I’d be happy to elaborate in a conversation if asked.
I’ve decided to apply for asylum, go to school and get a job while handling my transition; my living situation as much as I try not to let it happen, all these tie in with each other and it’s been draining me. Worrying about if I can’t pay rent, if I miss a chance to get an education, my asylum claim being dependent on proof of my transition and the time ticking away; it’s very easy to get depressed.
But I want to take a chance and look here again, I got nice advice from last time. Especially if this is a family or older family, if you have a room to spare in exchange for anything in my capabilities (Cleaning/Petsitting/Organizing/Taking care of the house or tutoring) so that I have a chance in putting together my life, I’d be eternally grateful. If you live on the upper west or east side, that is also great even if beggars can’t be choosers.
I know it’s mostly me depending on kindness from strangers and offering the best I can in return, but if I can genuinely find a place to stay to build my future I would take this chance. I looked into a few shelters too but I need human interaction in a place that can be hopefully familiar
I am from bangladesh and am a teen just fending for himself and I don’t want to be on the streets, so if you can help me please let’s talk.
