FAKE: A Tribute to CAKE is Dallas’ only CAKE tribute band. We’re looking for the perfect frontman to be our John McCrea to handle all lead vocals and hopefully some minimal acoustic guitar and keys parts. A real love for the band’s music is a must, no casual fans please. You must be familiar with their musical catalog. You must own/play similar or the same kind of gear used on stage by the band. You must be able to commit to bi-monthly rehearsals, own professional gear, and be available to perform in front of large crowds without reservation. We have a rehearsal space that has 24/7 access and our goal is to faithfully recreate and bring to life the music of CAKE throughout their 20+ year musical history. We have connections to some of the largest DFW venues to be able to start performing live as soon as the band is assembled.
