Central Penn College is in search of a full-time Facilities Technician to provide building and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring, operating, maintaining, and repairing building equipment and systems including, but not limited to heating, ventilation, cooling, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, infrastructure, carpentry, and grounds maintenance, including snow removal and trash patrol. The candidate will work 5 days during the week and may need to be available for some weekends, or additional hours when snow removal is necessary in the winter. This position also includes an on-call rotation. Qualifications include: 4-6 years of experience in mid to high-level all-around facilities maintenance Completion of an approved apprentice program, or other qualified training program Proficiency in two of the following skills: plumbing, H.V.A.C., electrical, carpentry, or painting Ability to work safely in a rapidly changing environment on multiple tasks with frequent changing priorities Demonstrated experience working independently and on a team A positive outlook with strong interpersonal skills and a strong focus on customer service The ability to work flexible hours with occasional weekend/evenings Professionalism towards students, faculty, staff, vendors, and contractors Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and stand and walk for extended periods of time in completion of tasks Must possess current driver’s license Central Penn College values an institutional culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
