• You are right, your points valid. There is much for both sides to celebrate in this election. • To count Beto out, would be a mistake. Richard Nixon lost two, very important elections he should have won hands down. Especially the Kennedy election. All of America was uneasy to say the least to elect a Catholic president, fear of papal influence and all (yes that was a very big thing back then.) • Once again, you are relying on Trump's words for your stats re: endorsements. Fact: Out of 36 competitive races in which Trump had endorsed candidates, his preferred politicians have so far won 11 races and lost 14, with 11 still undecided as of 8:00 a.m. Eastern time Thursday. • "No democrat holds a major state level position for the first time since the Civil War." Oh really now? You obviously are posting outstate. In Michigan alone, we have a Democrat governor, sec. of state, attorney general, and dems have taken both state houses. • One hopes the Trump hysteria has lost a bit of its luster, and the GOP is jolted into the reality that extremist politics are not fashionable any longer in America. One would also hope the same for this board, but alas, time will tell, won't it?
