You are invited to the RMA Portland Metro Chapter’s November Membership Luncheon: Cybersecurity! We will be taking a look at cyber security through a banker’s eyes. Our panelists will be discussing potential risks including hacked clients, hackers requesting wired funds and how a breach or loss of data could impact your borrower’s ability to repay their loans. We will discuss how to mitigate these risks with an open client dialogue. PanelistsMicah Hoffman Managing Director & Counsel | Travelers Insurance Micah currently serves as Managing Director & Counsel at Travelers, Bond & Specialty Insurance, Cyber Claim in Lake Oswego, Oregon. In this role, she leads and supports a team of claim attorneys handling first and third-party cyber claims involving incident response, ransomware, business email compromise, cyber crimes, remediation efforts, notifications, business interruption and data privacy. Micah also regularly provides training and education opportunities on cyber risks, trends, regulatory/legal updates and claims handling. Prior to her leadership role, she was a claim attorney on Travelers’ Cyber Claim team where she managed cyber claims of moderate to higher severity or complexity across the nation. Brian KindredSVP & Director of Cybersecurity | Umpqua Bank Brian Kindred serves as the Senior Vice President and Director of Cybersecurity for Umpqua Bank with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and over 20 years of cybersecurity management experience in medium, large and global enterprise environments. Key highlights include a history of Fortune 100/500 cybersecurity strategy and planning, oversight of multimillion-dollar programs, and 50+ member teams. Sean HoarPartner | Lewis Brisbois Sean Hoar is a partner in the Portland office of Lewis Brisbois and chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. He has extensive experience managing responses to digital crises and effectively marshaling resources to contain and remediate information security incidents. He served as the lead cyber attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon, and he worked closely with the Computer Crime & Intellectual Property Section in Washington D.C.
