This event is co-hosted by the Cardinal Institute for West Virginia Policy & West Virginia Families United for Education.
It will be the first stop on a listening tour that will be taking place across the Mountain State over the upcoming year. Attendees will share stories of success in their work, as well as provide feedback on barriers they've identified that are preventing them from adequately meeting the needs of the learners they serve.
The event will be moderated by Kerry McDonald. Kerry is a senior education fellow at the Foundation for Economic Education, education policy fellow with the State Policy Network, an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, and author of Unschooled: Raising Curious, Well-Educated Children Outside the Conventional Classroom. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband and four homeschooled children.
Kerry has been traveling the nation meeting educational entrepreneurs and sharing their stories. We're thrilled to have her come to Charleston to meet with us and hear from committed leaders in our state.
The event will be Saturday, December 10th, from 10:00am - 1:00pm with lunch to follow at the Saint John XXIII Pastoral Center in Charleston, West Virginia.
