The NCR CERT Consortium is an organization that grew directly from the bonds of professional friendships formed over the years at CERTCON. We look forward to a wonderful conference, and the chance to meet friends old and new.
Please join us on Friday, November 18 for a meet and greet happy hour (time and Location TBD), to network and connect with CERT members and supporting agencies from different NCR jurisdictions.
Conference registration begins Saturday, November 19 at 0900 at the George Washington Middle School in Alexandria, VA. The opening ceremony will begin promptly at 10am with a color guard and opening remarks.
There will be exhibitors in the Cafeteria, a Touch-A-Truck event outdoors, as well as a visit from FEMA Director of Individual and Community Preparedness Division- Aaron Levy, and a roundtable discussion with NCR CERT program managers.
CERTCON 2022 will offer a variety of different breakout sessions on topics ranging from "Emergency Chef" to “Stop the Bleed" and other great presentations from various subject matter experts from different NCR CERT programs. We will provide breakfast and lunch offerings in the cafeteria.
On Sunday, November 20th, David Steele and Kristen Wear (from Montgomery County CERT Training) will be establishing a scored team rodeo event. This rodeo will be a structured learning opportunity. There will be a pre-rodeo orientation, timed and scored event stations, an educational explanation of the station scoring, and a tally of the placement of the teams with announced winning teams.
There will also be a tabletop FTX on Sunday in the media room led by Donna Russe. More details to come.
A follow up email with full event details, maps, schedules will be sent a few weeks before the event.
