Sweetwater is excited to join you in creating holiday or birthday magic for yourself or your loved one by creating a personalized leather journal. This class, lead by John of Front Range Leather, will be walking participants through the basics of assembling a leather journal. Each participant will hand stitch premium quality art paper into a leather cover. Letters will be available to emboss your wallet with your initials or the initials of the person you are gifting it. At the conclusion of this class each participant will go home with their own, premium Wickett and Craig Leather handmade journal. Most items deteriorate with wear, leather gets better with age as it softens, becomes more supple, and takes on the shape of the owner. Journal can be refilled as used by taking your stitching method and entering new pages. Please note that this class will be using Beeswax - if you have an allergy please contact us beforehand so arrangements can be made. Workshop would include: - Tools to use during the class - Materials to create a personalized journal - Letters to emboss your initials - Instruction There will be a variety of premium leather available to choose your cover from the night of the event. Due to the nature of the class, supply ordering, and prep work cancellations and refund are not available. No cancellations or refunds will be accepted but if you are unable to make it, I will allow your spot to be transferred to someone else with 48 hrs notice. Thank you for your understanding. Instructor Bio: I am John and along with my wife, Abigail, and the rest of the crew, we make up Front Range Leather. I have been doing leather work since 2016 and have made everything from wallets and journals to bags and purses.
