Chapter (AAJA), South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA), Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association (AMEJA), the Association of LGBTQ Journalists (NLGJA) and the Trans Journalists Association (TJA) for an evening of food, fun and networking. Meet and greet other DC based journalists and media professionals and enjoy drink and food specials at the newly opened 1865 Steak Seafood & Cigars in Petworth. Located at the landmark “Billy Simpson’s House of Steak and Seafood”, 1865 continues the legacy of 3815 Georgia Ave as DC’s new home for Black Excellence. Through connection, empowerment, and development, 1865 bills itself as a channel to community innovation–in food, drinks, culture, service, and organization.
