Suffolk County Unity Day is an inclusive conference offered to high school students in grades 9-12, addressing contemporary challenges while fostering confidence, awareness, and expression. The 2023 theme focuses on empowerment through expression. Your students will have the opportunity to hear from keynote presenters, watch student performances, engage in workshops with students from other districts, meet with community organizations to collect information on the resources available within Suffolk County, and more. Spacing is limited to 40 students per school. Classroom space will be offered for lunch. Please note: non-perishable food items and clear liquids are preferred and must be supplied by the participant/school district. The campus cafeteria is closed during intercession and vending machines may not be fully stocked.All busses are instructed to park in field 3B (West Road) for direct access to the theater.Sponsored by the Center for Social Justice & Human Understanding, Inc., Suffolk County Community College, The Suffolk County Human Rights Commission, and the Unity Day Planning Committee.
