In it's first year, StartupUNO is an idea accelerator and pitch competition open to all University of New Orleans students that provides entrepreneurial training and mentorship to the teams. The competition culminates at this Privateer Pitch event on November 16 from 4-7pm. This event is free and open to the public! Come check out the innovative work of UNO students and cheer on the student teams! The four teams have the opportunity to win three prizes, a $7,000 grand prize, a $2,000 runner up prize, and a $1,000 audience favorite award, awarded to the team that receives the most votes from the audience. Come show your support and meet the teams and judges over food and drink immediately after the pitches! Schedule of events: 4:00pm - Welcome and public pitch event starts 5:15pm - Pitch event ends, public networking event with judges and teams begins 6:15pm - Awards Ceremony and winners announcement 6:30 - 7:00pm - Continued networking
