Harlan Thomas Gasque died from a previously unknown medical condition while out for a run the evening of October 25th. His life was cut short at the young age of 15. We grieve and mourn at his passing. We hope to share with those that gather with us some of the music that had recently inspired Harlan, including some of the local bands he had rocked out to with his friends not so long ago. We want to share some of the books he had read and loved. We want to share the skills he had developed in art- through his paintings and drawings and writings. We want to show some of the models he creatively assembled and painted as a hobby and share some of the games he'd loved so much because of how they encouraged "rigorous intellectual discourse". We want to share our memories of this wonderful person. A celebration of life will be held in the theatre at Foothill High school on November 18th between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:30pm. The celebration will begin with guests being ushered into the theatre lobby and encouraged to spend 45 minutes or so engaging with some of Harlan's favorite hobbies, interests and some of our favorite memories of him. After guests are seated in the theatre, speeches and presentations eulogizing, celebrating and remembering Harlan will begin around 5pm. Our gathering will be closed by another local band that Harlan drew inspiration from as guests prepare to exit the theatre and head home. If your life had been touched by Harlan's we would like you to attend, but our plans and the venue have placed limits on the amount of people that can attend- please RSVP as soon as possible with the entire count for your group.
