Florence-Lauderdale Public Library's 3rd Annual Holiday Bike Parade
What: Show off your holiday creativity by decorating your bicycle with lights, ornaments, ribbon, tinsel and other items. Bring your blankets and chairs and join us on the front lawn for storytime and hot chocolate immediately following the parade!
When: 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
Where: The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, 350 N. Wood Ave. Check-in at the table near the book drop and line up along the parking lot sidewalk.
Cost: FREE!
Who may participate: All ages- Children, teens, and adults!
Deadline to register: 5 p.m. Nov. 28
Where to register: Eventbrite. Bike riding participants need to register. Parents accompanying their child do not need to register.
Prizes: Winners will be selected in each age category for the best decorations!
Sponsors: Swampers Bar & Grille, Huntsville Museum of Art
Rules: Children 6 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all riders must wear a helmet. The library and its staff are not responsible for any injuries or damages that may occur to riders, bikes and other property.
The parade begins along the Library sidewalk next to Tuscaloosa Street and goes around the Wilson Park block, returning on the Tombigbee Street side of the parking lot. Participants will be invited to the front Library lawn after the parade for hot chocolate, the award ceremony, storytime on the lawn, and photo opportunities.
