Description
GILROY, CA — The Gilroy Rotary Club has raised $7,000 to address local needs amid the pandemic, the group said on its website.
The funding will aid Gilroy Unified School District and St. Joseph Medical Center.
The club said it used $5,000 to purchase Chromebooks for GUSD students with the remaining $2,000 going to St. Joseph's Center to be used as needed.
"The response of the Gilroy Rotarians was not surprising," current Gilroy Club President Kathleen Rose said in a statement.
"The value of being a Rotarian is demonstrated through our commitment to service and compassion in big and small ways."
