Do not allow people to crowd the work area. GRAND CAN SCULPTURE COMPETITION TIPS: We asked past competitors to give their best advice for new competitors. The most popular answer was: Start planning early. Be prepared. Plan can sculpture design first. Then host food drive so that you can ask for specific food items that are needed for can sculpture design. Teams may accept monetary donations then purchase food items needed for can sculpture design. A tip from a past competitor: Your sculpture will take more cans than you think. Order from the grocery store rather than shop from their shelves. Some cans do not stack as well as others. Planning/practicing your design is important. Partner up! Example: Pharmacy Club partners with Pharmacy Business. Pharmacy Club plans design. Pharmacy Club and Pharmacy Business are both fund/food drive drop-off locations. Pharmacy Club and Pharmacy Business both advertise the fund/food drive and the Grand Can Sculpture Competition. Pharmacy Club builds can sculpture.
