The Police Accountability Commission (PAC) is holding its first in person listening session on November 17th. This is a chance for you to come talk about your lived experiences, stories, thoughts, and discuss any ideas you have for how police oversight and accountability should work in Portland.
The PAC is not part of the Portland Police Bureau. The PAC is a group of volunteer community members working to implement the Real Police Accountability ballot measure, approved by Portland voters in 2020. 82% of Portlanders voted in favor of creating a new community police oversight board, and the City Council set up this commission to work with the community to develop the details of the new system.
Come meet some of the volunteer Commissioners working hard on making a new structure come to life.
