About the exhibition: Let’s Get Weird is showcasing a mix of artistic style that includes the screening of short film, Disharmony, the series I‘m Not Your Clown and the collective work of Tonho Earlyhuman. About the artist: Tonho Earlyhuman is a Miami based artist, born in Bogotá Colombia. He is a big time jokester, natural entertainer, and an industrial and graphic designer. After years of working in advertisement agencies, he developed his own unique style by focusing on the essential and visual components of geometric shapes which he arranges into patterns to make illustrative faces or masks that he calls clowns. He has been developing a series titled "I’M NOT YOUR CLOWN" that explores the dichotomy of emotions, using on his own personal narrative and the people he meets as inspiration and referencing pre-Colombian culture with a contemporary twist. In the clown series, he uses mixed-media paintings, murals, silk screens, ceramics and furniture to create his characters. For Tonho, the pieces reflect each individual's inherent power of creativity as a fundamental part of their nature, while searching for on his own identity in every face that he creates.
