Description
INTRODUCTIONOn behalf of the Diocese of Bridgeport, join us for a season of Eucharistic Renewal in the Diocese of Bridgeport. Presented by the Guild of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Bishop Caggiano's personal apostolate, Heart to Heart is a series of monthly Eucharistic adorations that will travel throughout the diocese this September through May. This is a night for families and people in all seasons to gather and gaze upon our Lord, to be renewed in his presence, and encounter his Mercy. There will be preaching, confessions, and hospitality. In these Heart to Heart nights, all are welcome to meet new and old friends as we sit in Adoration to be renewed by Christ's Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament. We will have the opportunity to be stirred by God's Word, encounter Jesus in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and have our hearts lifted in reverent praise & worship. We hope this evening provides an opportunity for all folks in all seasons to encounter Christ's light, love, mercy, and renewal, which knows no bounds. Join us - Jesus is waiting for you! What is the Blessed Sacrament? Of all the gifts that God has given his Church, the Blessed Sacrament is, without question the greatest, for it is nothing less than the body, blood, soul and Divinity of Jesus himself. In the Eucharist, our Divine Savior dwells among us. It is the source and summit of our Christian life. What is Eucharistic Adoration? Eucharistic Adoration is spending time in prayer, worship, and contemplation before Jesus who awaits us in love, present in the Blessed Sacrament. It is a time of Jesus gazing at us and us gazing at Jesus who is dwelling among us in humility and vulnerability. For this reason, we submit our hearts and minds fully and attentively to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Will there be moments of silence? Absolutely, there will be moments of silence throughout the evening Do I have to be Catholic to attend? All are welcome to join. We simply ask for all our brothers and sisters to observe the reverent atmosphere of worship set forth within the church sanctuary.
