Healthcare workers are 4 times more likely to be assaulted than workers in private industry (The Joint Commission) 1 out of 4 nurses is assaulted on the job. (American Heart Association) Healthcare Safety is specifically designed to meet the challenges that healthcare workers encounter daily. During this 3-hour course you will learn:  Situational Awareness  Verbal De-Escalation  Escapes From Grabs/Strikes  Abduction Defense  Edged Weapon Defense C.O.B.R.A.™ was created from experience in law enforcement, close quarter combat techniques, and martial arts with a further extensive study on the psychology of criminal intent and realistic self-defense. This system was designed with the sole purpose of personal safety and defense. We offer this course monthly and is open to anyone who works in a healthcare setting.
