Daniel was born in Israel in 1981 to parents who were founders of the modern-day Messianic movement. Daniel comes from an academically accomplished family which includes, a collaborator on the Manhattan Project alongside Albert Einstein with other brilliant accomplishments and contributions to mankind such as inventing color TV. Daniel’s dad, Dr. David Stern, was a brilliant economist who made his mark later, with his theological books, he wrote the Messianic Jewish Manifesto, Jewish New Testament Commentary, Complete Jewish Bible, and others, translated into dozens of languages and used by Messianic congregations around the world for the purpose of bringing Jews to their Messiah. Joseph Shulam, the dear friend of the Sterns, established the very first Messianic congregation in Jerusalem which was founded organically by a believing Israeli who the LORD raised up from within the new nation of Israel. Daniel attended this congregation his whole life and continues to work there. Like most Israelis, Daniel served in the military between 1999 – 2006. He was outsourced to the Jerusalem Police HQ where he served during the 2nd Intifada, putting him among the CSI unit, bomb squad, cavalry, detectives, and border security… at the time of 911. If you traveled to Israel between 99 and 2006, you were likely impacted by Daniel’s work… from either the guys stamping your passport or his service to the Chief of Police in the HR department. That Chief of Police is now the speaker of the Knesset. Daniel served during the time when suicide bombers in Israel were common in the news, even when the first female suicide bomber detonated. Daniel, a father of four amazing children and the son of Godly parents in a land where a Messianic Faith could cause you great hardship and even persecution, Daniel has a story you want to hear!
