Description
"This past year, I had the pleasure of attending several large scale, world-class concerts and music festivals, some of which I experienced behind-the-scenes as manager of The Strangers. I feel more inspired than ever to bring a high-quality, 'all in' concert experience to the place where my label and a growing community of artists, musicians, and music lovers call home: Evansville, Indiana. Introducing, Wally Opus Presents 2022." - Wes from Wally Opus. Hosted by Southern Indiana-based record label, Wally Opus Records, Wally Opus Presents 2022 is a showcase event featuring performances by four captivating local bands with special-guest appearances sprinkled in throughout the evening. Taking place at StageTwo @ 321, a spacey yet intimate venue located on the east side of Evansville, the all ages event will open doors at 5pm with music beginning at 6. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the concessions. Adults can enjoy beer, wine, and certain cocktail drinks. Band merchandise will also be available for purchase. _______ About the Bands The Strangers: Originally hailing from Santa Claus, Indiana, The Strangers are four 20-something’s transporting listeners back to Rock N Roll’s prime: The 1970’s. Imagine a Grunge-styled Rush with James Hatfield singing. Comprised of singer Lucas Washington, guitarist Rylan Cox, bassist Kadin Rea, and drummer Teelin Atteberry, the American Rock band recently won the DWPresents Battle for The Big Stage in August of this year at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA. The band then went on to play the Main Stage at DW’s Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY on Sunday, September 25th, opening for bands like Incubus, Alice in Chains, Dirty Honey, The Struts, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few. Atlas of The Dogs: Combine Black Sabbath with Sound Garden, throw in a little Pop Punk and you get the new and exciting sound of Atlas of the Dogs. This past spring, the five-piece Alternative Rock band self-released their debut album, “Rising // Falling”, with their lead single, “Depth”, garnering over 7,000 Spotify streams. Hailing from Henderson, Kentucky, the band of close friends is comprised of Jax Fleming (singer/songwriter), AJ Walton (bass), Gage Johnson (lead guitar), and Zakk Marks (drummer). Catch Atlas at the historic Victory Theatre on March 3, 2023, as they open for the epic Rock n Roll show, Hairball. Swamp Eyes: Swamp Eyes is the solo experimental folk project of Evansville-based singer/songwriter, Sam Kuban. At only seventeen months old, Sam's firstborn was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. His latest release, “Something’s in the Hall,” is a direct emotional response to navigating the intense fear surrounding this unforeseen diagnosis and its complications from a parental perspective. Hitting all streaming platforms on December 9th, this chaotic folk experiment offers the listener a deep-dive into an aw-inspiring binary world of soothing finger-style guitar juxtaposed with spastic blasts of percussive chaos that somehow satisfyingly coexist. Panama Papers: The Wildcard of the bunch. _______ Important Event Info: Wally Opus Presents at StageTwo is an all-ages, standing room only venue, all tickets are General Admission unless otherwise stated.
