Raw Meat is an experimental workshop series where performers present a brand new piece for the 1st show and evolve that piece for the 2nd show. Ideally, this will provide the audience an inside look of the creative process of highlighted performers in our community: creating from scratch, being in the shit a little as they discover, and growing the piece into something amazing. Or maybe their piece is amazing from the start and you'll find that they're a creative genius! The structure of the show is that each performer will present their piece, and then after the show each performer will have a 5 minute Q&A session with the audience. The feedback can provide insight into things like what parts worked, potential missed moments, and directions to explore more next time. Our goal is to create an environment that welcomes recurring audience members who want to see the discovery process and also one that creates a constructive dialogue between the audience and the performers.
