BURR RIDGE, IL — Among recent Burr Ridge police reports are a neighbor crash, a nosy visitor, a woman walking after drinking and an early morning chat. Here is information from the reports: Neighbor crash An officer saw a 2013 GMC truck with rear damage and debris scattered across the roadway Dec. 26 in the 8700 block of Aintree Lane. The officer contacted the truck's owner. He said a neighbor had struck his truck earlier in the day and that they had exchanged information. The owner said he did not need further assistance. The officer cleared the roadway of debris. Nosy visitor A man knocked on the door of a house in the 6300 block of County Line Road about 3 p.m. Dec. 27 and asked a woman's son what the owners did for a living because he liked the house. The man left in a silver Chrysler. An officer was unable to find the car. Drinking and walking An officer saw a woman about 3 a.m. Dec. 27 walking on the sidewalk in the 6100 block of Elm Street. She said she had been drinking at her friend's house near Hinsdale Central High School. She said she could not get an Uber to take her to her house off of Carriage Way. She asked for a ride home. Another officer gave her one. Ducks, not geese Police responded to a report of geese Dec. 26 near Sylvan Glen Court. They were actually three ducks enjoying a water hole on the ice. As soon as an officer approached, the ducks got out of the hole and walked away uninjured. Early morning chat A black Toyota SUV and a black BMW were parked next to each other about 3:30 a.m. Dec. 27 in the 500 block of Village Center Drive. A man told an officer that he was with his female friend hanging out and talking after a dinner date. They said they were about to leave.
