The San Antonio (TX) Alumni Chapter & The Lambda Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated in Partnership with The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration (Summary): The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration supports the efforts of The Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) as it relates to educating and testing the public for COVID-19 and FLU vaccinations. As a result, we have partnered with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) organization (Initiative: Good Health Wins) partnership--the “single largest response to the COVID-19 pandemic” stateside--to continue providing quality education on COVID-19 and FLU vaccinations. Mission: • The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration & its’ initiatives begins with education. • Our advocates understand the importance of immunizations and are working to create an infrastructure for good health. • This is achieved by: 1. Reducing health disparities, 2. Increasing vaccination opportunities, 3. Providing vaccination education and 4. Identifying & dispelling the drivers of vaccine hesitancy. The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration Partners: 1. The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration champions are taking collective action to reduce vaccine hesitancy and improve vaccination rates. 2. The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration membership is made up of trusted messengers in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Chapters, Divine Nine (9) Fraternities & Sororities, NCNW sections, national affiliates, and partnering organizations who share the vision and understand the importance of immunizations and good health. 3. The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration is a growing network of grassroot organizations, health care advocates, policy makers and people who passionately want to inform and empower everyone, especially communities of color, on vaccine opportunities, access and reducing health disparities. 4. The Good Health Wins San Antonio Collaboration begins with education and grows with partners and people who care. Outputs 1. Increased equity in nationwide distribution and administration of COVID 19 vaccines; 2. Building community confidence in family medical decision making, 3. Reduced stigma and implicit bias associated with COVID 19, Improved access to testing; 4. Expanded application of health equity principles among health care providers and the responder workforce; and 5. Contributions to the evidence base of effective interventions through use of the Data Hub and Learning Hub.
