Santa and his elves will be visiting LNK around 4:30 pm and be here until 6:00 pm for photo opportunities and to meet with local kids in the CommuteAir Hangar. While waiting to see Santa, his elves will be holding free face paintings as well as balloon art. There will also be a free station for kids to make "reindeer food" , other crafts and a hot chocolate bar. Weather pending we will follow the event with an outdoor showing of the movie "Elf" around 6:00 pm. The event is located on the west side of the airport, in an open green space. The movie will be projected on the side of an old Cold War hangar, attendees will be allowed to stay in their cars or bring blankets and chairs to sit in the grass. The movie event is free to the community but please register to attend and bring a new toy to be donated to a local charity. We will also be doing a free will toy drive to be donating to those in need! Registration: select the number of people attending (i.e. Family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids) = register 4 people total. Event Details: Parking is first come, first serve beginning at 4:00 p.m.Free bagged popcorn and hot cocoa!There will be no entrance after 6:00 p.m. with movie starting around dark.Staff will help you park your vehicle. We will have dedicated area for cars if you wish to sit in the back of your vehicle (truck/SUV) or inside your vehicle. We have added an FM transmitter so there will be a dedicated station for you to hear the movie through you vehicle speaker.Closer to the movie screen will be an area for chair and blankets (no vehicles allowed).No campers or tents allowed.No alcohol will be allowed at the event.Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be allowed. We will have food trucks available.In the event of inclement weather (including high winds), the event will not be rescheduled.Outdoor restrooms will be provided and handicap accessible.Trash cans will be provided so please make sure you pick up your trash and throw away.
