Join VETMotorsports and the Lone Star Region of Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) to initiate the 2022 Christmas season! This non-competitive 90-minute social Road Rally will start from the parking lot in San Marcos shared by Summer Moon Coffee, EVO Entertainment Springtown, and Gold's Gym. The route will be over a paved road until we get to the tree farm. Afterward, we will have lunch at the Roadhouse on old Highway 20 in Paige (just off highway 21). The event is meant to encourage people who like doing things with cars to get together for social outings. Each car needs a driver and a navigator who will read the route instructions and look for clues. The car may have extra passengers. Each car must have a current inspection sticker and proof of insurance. The driver must have a valid driver's license. Children are welcome as navigators and even as drivers if they have their learner's permits. However, children under the age of 18 must have a Minor Waiver signed by both parents. The Lee Country Christmas Tree Farm in Lincoln, Texas specializes in Carolina Sapphire, Virginia Pine, ad the allergy-free Murray Cypress Christmas trees. This family-friendly farm also has a play area, hayrides, and hot chocolate. There will even be short classes on growing Christmas Trees. The farm gift shop will also have wreaths, gifts, and exciting items from the farm. Registration on the event day will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the parking lot in San Marcos. There will be a compulsory safety briefing at 10:45 prior to cars being released at 11:00. The route will wind through Lockhart, Rosanky, Smithville, and Giddings and the route instructions will identify points of historical interest along the way.
