February is considered to be the month of love and friendship. As we know one of life's greatest blessings is family, but the greatest love known in this world is that of a parent for their child(ren).    The “It's A Family Affair” Sneaker Ball is dedicated to promoting positive parent child relationships. These relationships are the foundation for every other relationship that a child will establish in their life.   Gun Violence is at an all-time high. We are all affected by the uptick of the gun violence that is plaguing out community.  More than ever, we recognize the significance of family and community.  Fostering and Realizing the key values of familial relationships set the foundation for our community.  Additionally, as community partners, we also have a responsibility in the building of resiliency of those in our community.  To build trustworthy working relationships between families and community, we must first be willing to collectively acknowledge that our community have concerns that must be addressed to preserve family and community morals and values.      We want to be a part of the change this community need and desires to see.  We realize that it truly takes a village not just to raise our children; but to also establish community.
