Description
It's time to have some fun! Putting together a classic rock band featuring music from the 70’s to the 90’s.I want this to be something we can all be proud of so please be willing to put the time in. I want people to walk away from our shows saying “that band was freaking awesome”. I play rhythm guitar and will be lead vocals on most songs. I am older but still like to rock and have fun. I know this is a big ask, I am looking for bass, lead guitar, drums and keys, all must have backing vocal ability, a lot of the music I would like to do has harmonies. I will also be looking for a female vocalist, ideally she will play an instrument. I would like the lady to do lead vocals on at least a few songs. Age, gender, race not important. Experience not important either, I don’t really care if you have never played in a band before or if you have played in 100 bands. As long you as you can play your instrument and are decent with harmonies we can make it work. I do expect you to have you own professional equipment and transportation. I would like to get this together soon. Ideally, we would start slow, get together once a week for an hour or two and decide what songs we should cover, who will sing harmonies and all that fun stuff and some practice on what we all know. Once we have a good idea what songs we will be doing and have had time to practice them on our own we can extend practice time. Take practice slow at first and ramp things up after the holidays to be ready to play out come spring. I am only looking to play out once or twice a month so if you want more this probably isn't for you.. I have practice space and PA equipment in the Greenfield area. I have a partial list below but I would like everyone's input, don’t want anyone playing songs they hate. Some of the songs/bands I would like to cover include but are not limited to. I am open to suggestions. Open to almost anything from the 70’s to the 90’s, no country, no Hip Hop. Kansas; Cary On My Wayward Son Styx; possibly Lady and Grand Illusion Smashing Pumpkins; Cherub Rock, Frail & Bedazzled Rush; Subdivisions and or Tom Sawyer Lynyrd Skynyrd; That Smell, The Needle and The Spoon, Simple Man Journey; Felling That Way, Any Time Head East; Never Been Ant Reason Areosmith; No More No More James gang; Walk Away 311; Beautiful Disaster Toadies; Possum Kingdom Don McLean; American Pie Black Crows Hard To Handle Sound Garden; Fell On Black Days Heart; Sing Child RHCP; Areoplane If this sounds like something you would be interested in please shoot me a text or call me and we can talk about it in more detail. Rock On!! Tom 2six2 nine33 88threefour
