Experienced Carpenter/Remodeler Fireplace Superstore is looking for an individual skilled and experienced in remodeling type carpentry work to head a two man crew installing wood and gas fireplaces, retrofit inserts, and freestanding stoves. Must have experience in most all facets of carpentry along with basic plumbing and electrical wiring (light switches, outlets). Roofing knowledge and the ability to safely work on roofs of varying pitches is also a must for this job. You will need to be reliable and a self starter who can work in nearly all weather conditions, professionalism is a must. Fireplace installation and gas line experience would be a plus but we are willing to train the right individual. This is a full time year round job which entails both working on new construction jobs and in customer’s existing homes. Applicants need to have a clean driving record (no SR-22 insurance) and be able to pass a background check. Hours will usually be regular Monday-Friday 8AM to 4:30PM but later hours may be required in order to stay on schedule and get the jobs done. Wages will be commensurate with experience level, within the $42,000 to $55,000.00 per year range. Hires for this job will be eligible for full benefits package including health and IRA plans. We look our jobs over before the install crew gets on site, so you will have a good idea of the job you are scheduled to do each day. The lead installer needs to be able to look at the paperwork and work with the installation manager to figure out how and what needs to be done to accomplish the customer’s goal.
