Description
At age 70, I decided to revive my brief but colorful past as a stage singer back in the late 70s early 80s. I had performed a lot of the best musical hits of the 50s, 60s & 70s. So, for the past 2+ years, I've invested a lot of time and resources into creating everything needed to perform as a solo gig artist hellbent on keeping the "Golden Oldies" alive.
Unfortunately, 2 bouts of throat cancer have made my musical ambition less than optimal. But rather than giving up altogether and selling everything off, I thought about making my plan available to anyone like myself who would love to either get back into singing the oldies or would just love to give singing a shot because you never had the chance before [bucket list anyone?].
My 2-car garage is set up like a recording studio with a great PA system, lyric screens, several mics and over 300 of the best musical sound tracks from the 50s, 60s and 70s. There would be no charge and a great way to have fun without dealing with stage fright. I'd be able to determine your vocal range and manipulate the song keys and tempos most comfortable for you. Maybe even record something you can share with family and friends. Keep in mind that this whole idea is not to create or conduct a "garage band" but rather a low-key, easy listening setting.
Also, I could email a song list to give you a better idea of what's available to work with. No hard rock, mostly pop, light rock, standards, country. From Buddy Holly and Elvis to CCR, Eagles & Clapton
If this is something you'd like to try, shoot me an email. If not, feel free to share. Thanks. Dan
