CAN YOU SEAL A TRUCK CAP FROM WATER ENTERING THE TAILGATE ?

I purchased a new ARE MX truck cap for my Ford Ranger. Water is coming in from multiple spots where the back window meets the tailgate. I sent it back to ARE under warranty to be fix, but once return the issues are more or less the same. ARE isn't backing up their product, and the dealer won't refund me, so I'm looking for someone who has experience with sealing truck caps to keep water out since I'm stuck with. I understand water and dust always finds a way in with caps, but I've never seen or heard of such an issue like this. It's pretty clear this cap has design flaws to say the least. Anyways, I'd like to fix the issue as best I can, so if this sounds like your wheelhouse please respond and let me know. I really need to get this issue resolved. I purchased this back in February, received it in July, and have yet to be able to use it for it's intended purposes. Thanks!
