PLAYSTATION 4 Repair people?

Hey, so I got ripped off last night buying a PlayStation 4. It will turn on but has a message saying “Plug in DualShock controller and press PS button to turn on” No matter how many different controls or cords I use, it still won’t connect or fully turn on. Curious if there’s anyone somewhat local that may be able to take a look and see if it’s something that can be repaired, or am I SOL? If there’s any repair people out there. Please get in contact, I’d very much like to see if this is salvageable Thanks y’all
