As part of the Spirit & Place Festival, this half-day workshop, we will explore how the small African American community of Norwood was able to mobilize their family history to protect their community from unwelcome change. This hands-on program will allow us to help participants organize their family stories into community histories using newly developed “archival kits.” A partnership between Norwood Community Archives, Center for Africana Studies & Culture, and Center for Black Literature & Culture.Intergenerational, 12+.
