We are looking for a press operator to join a successful operation in Cocoa! We have entry level and experienced positions available. Required: Familiarity with densitometry Computer use and navigation Attention to detail Analytical skills and problem solving ability Mechanical aptitude Work in a team environment Interpret written instructions Computer knowledge to log order and material for jobs. Ruler and math skills Duties and Responsibilities Perform a daily start-up/shut down tasks of press Adjust and operate that press to print single, two-color, and/or multi-color work. Perform all make ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as mounting plates, installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections, check appropriate positioning of images, adjusting tension and register, etc. Operate press Read job tickets/review job specifications to determine the appropriate press set up. Make needed color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. Check for print registers and maintain per customer specifications. Solace and load new material Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs. Performs periodic maintenance, as recommended by the manufacturer. Mechanical aptitude Team-Oriented Work in a fast paced environment Deliver printed jobs to the next process upon completion. Physical Demands Considerable amount of movement required. Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly Able to sit, stand or bend for extended periods of time. Printing Press Helper Job Duties and Responsibilities Will work alongside pressmen and assist in areas to improve productivity. May assist in Set up and run jobs on a Flexo Ink Press May assist in performing daily start-up.shut down tasks. May assist in checking settings and levels, and any other necessary tasks, Splice and load new rolls of material. Pulling material. Stacking roll products May assist in set up/ run tests to evaluate print quality and equipment settings. May assist in Calibrating press and related equipment as needed. Cleaning ink pans, Cleaning press area. Use densitometer to check density and readings May assist in achieving proper print quality and maintain per customer specifications May assist in inspection of product for non-conformances during press run May assist in checking for print register and maintain throughout press run Deliver printed job to next process upon completion Excellent attention to detail Demonstrate analytical skills and problem solving ability Team - oriented Self-motivated and willing to learn Able to work in a fast paced environment Physical Demands Considerable amount of movement required Lifting up to 50 pounds Able to sit, stand or bend for extended periods of time Ability to distinguish colors Please email, call, or text if you are interested in the position!
