In continued partnership with the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center & Aquatic Center, The Black Doll Affair of Atlanta will empower girls, ages 8-12, with a self-esteem message and a toy black doll! Because many doll companies owned by Black women are marginalized and, therefore, experience difficulty finding the funding they need to compete in the marketplace, this year's 'Be a doll, give a doll' Christmas theme is '#BuyFelicia'. We're buying and donating black dolls made/manufactured by Black women. " To empower the next generation, we hope to see you at the party! Must RSVP with email | One doll per child | We cannot give dolls to children not in attendance | Children do not get to choose their doll | Dolls are issued on a first-come-first-serve basis | We cannot hold dolls or places in line | Because other name brand dolls are donated to The Black Doll Affair, after the black dolls made by Black women are given away, your child may receive a doll not made by a Black woman/company. | By attending The Black Doll Affair, you agree to our photo release which is perpetual and will be posted at the event.
