POSITION: Shop Assistant WHO ARE WE? Slip Face Sandboard’s vision is to inspire a passion for the outdoors, connect personally with riders, and promote unique experiences with our handcrafted sandboards. We are a women-run small business located that is dedicated to designing and manufacturing high quality one-of-a-kind handmade wood sandboards for people of all ages to enjoy year round, all over the world. POSITION OVERVIEW: Slip Face Sandboards is seeking a Shop Assistant to assist in all aspects of sandboard manufacturing. QUALIFICATIONS: No education requirements needed for this position, though it is required that you are familiar and comfortable with power tools such as table saws, routers, etc. We are seeking an excellent communicator who is trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely interested in the position. DETAILS: Expectations • Be able to work well in both a team setting and independently • Self-motivated and reliable • Communicate effectively Schedule & Training We are looking for part-time contractors for 2-4 days per week on a set schedule. It is important that all employees practice personal and shop safety. We will provide training to ensure machinery is used properly, and that everyone is aware of protective measures around the shop. Compensation: We are offering $13 per hour including potential for bonuses on a 1099 contract.
