Our current projects "The Black Shopping Network (TBSN)", is your modern day QVC show in a very unapologetic way. The show is a one-stop virtual live selling shop for all things created, manufactured and sold by Black and Urban Entrepreneurs.
In addition to "Stick Talk", a man on a the street styled show asking real people real questions on the street of Newark, NJ. Plus the quickest podcast ever, a 10 minute podcast "Stick Talk Podcast" as bonus content.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has prior or relevant experience as a Videographer/Editor to help capture shots of the host during the podcast and b-role for TBSN. This will be a non-compensated role as we are passionate and purpose driven creatives, who has been on a mission to change the narrative in TV/Film culture. We are looking to build a team of like-minded individuals who can volunteer their time and talent with purpose and the culture of TV & Film.
Who you are:
- A passionate filmmaker who enjoys team work with interest in building their portfolio.
- Knowledgeable and versatile in photographic equipment, as well as lighting, composition, and movement.
- In-depth knowledge of stationery and portable video cameras.
- Experience in planning, delegating and producing creative ideas.
- Provides support to the team as necessary.
- Familiarity with editing, understanding how to move the flow of images and limited on-screen action, to create a desirable viewing experience.
- Ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
- Knowledgeable and passionate about creating a variety of stories from an urban and comedic perspective.
What’s to expect:
This is a non-compensated role as the Volunteer Videographer. You will become a part of a small growing team of 3 that is on a mission to fill hearts and homes with relatable, unapologetic and feel good content.
