Job description Vegetation Management Contractor We perform vegetation management at cell sites on the Eastern two-thirds of the United States, this is a TRAVELLING position and will require long amounts of time spent away from your family, friends, and those you love. These days spent away from home are long, hot, tiring, and can be mentally and emotionally trying. We are looking for hard working self-motivated entrepreneurs who enjoy working outdoors and value the freedom of working independently. This is an opportunity to be a leader and a chance to start and run your own small business. This position also provides you with the unique ability to spend four to five months off with relatively un-interrupted time during the late Fall and Winter months. Compensation: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 first year $50,000.00-$90,000.00 in subsequent years Work Environment: Work in outdoor field environments including remote, rural and urban locations. Physical demands include: · Walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes. · Exposure to noise, dust, grease, pollen, plant debris and all types of weather and temperature conditions. Requirements for consideration: · Be willing to travel 100-160 days between March 25th and Oct 15th · Have written and verbal communication skills · Strong problem solving abilities · The ability to multi-task and give attention to detail · Basic computer skills · Valid Drivers License · Experience driving a pickup truck and trailer · Experience doing manual labor or skilled trades · Basic mechanical skills · Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment · Able to walk up to 10 miles per day · Able to stand, sit, and operate a motor vehicle for prolonged periods of time · Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, run, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp and make repetitive hand, arm and shoulder movement in the performance of daily duties · Be able to carry, push and/or pull light to heavy amounts of weight and frequently lift 10-60 lbs Experience in lawn care, tree service, agriculture or forestry is preferred but not required.
