They would great for a small hobby farm or as companion animals. They do need an outdoor space with access to grass, fencing that is secure, and lots of love. This breed is the smallest landrace breed and can reach weights upto 300#. Mango was born a preemie and as such has a stunted growth. Her sister Fig has just never been able to grow adequately either. Currently Mango is weighing around 35# and Fig around 30#. They are the size of a Jack Russell dog or maybe a corgi. Since they are nearly through the stage where they grow the most I'm pretty confident saying they will never reach much over 100# unless severely obese. They are the perfect size for indoor/outdoor pet pigs or strictly outdoor pets. They are trained to use a litter box if necessary indoors. Crate training indoors is necessary while their human friends are not home, atleast at first. With adequate time to pasture outside in the yarden they eat very minimal grain. About 2cups per pig per day of a regular pig formula feed. They would be fine with cats, and would warm up to dogs- although they should never be left alone with dogs for extended periods.
