Bishop Strickland to Celebrate Mass & Speak at Msgr. Wells Society Banquet

Each year, following the untimely death of "Tommy", the Monsignor Thomas Wells Society for Vocations has worked hard to honor his memory with a Mass and meal shared by many hundreds of his friends. All proceeds from the evening supports local seminarians. After learning of "Tommy" through The Priests We Need to Save the Church, Tyler, Texas Bishop Strickland became moved by Msgr. Wells's priesthood. He has offered to share his thoughts on the state of the Church and society, and the urgent need for holiness, courage, and more priests like Msgr. Wells during these tough times. Bishop Strickland is thrilled to be able to celebrate Mass with Ascension pastor Fr. Tim Daniel - and is looking forward to meeting the many friends of the Msgr. Wells Society. Mass is at 6 p.m. followed by the dinner banquet in the church hall. A delicious Italian meal will be served, with selected beers and wine. Seminarians, supported by the Msgr. Wells Society, will give testimonies. Please do not miss what promises to be a memorable evening of warmth, grace, fellowship and bold, loving words.
