Frequently Asked Questions: What is Amplified Voices? - Amplified Voices is a 501c3 not for profit agency committed to diversifying Chicago's legal profession. One of the many ways we work towards that primary goal, is through educational programs that support college readiness and professional enrichment for underserved youth interested in legal careers. Does my child need to stay the entire time? - Yes, students will have the chance to attend two of the three instruction sessions listed above. The sessions will run concurrently in the morning and again in the afternoon after a lunch break. What's up with the pep rally? - Since the event is taking place on a Saturday, we want to be sure the event is both fun AND educational. Lunchtime will be a high-energy pep rally to get students excited about their futures! Our corporate sponsor, Swish House Chicago, will be providing a fun basketball clinic, and have a DJ to keep the energy high. Will Amplified Voices host any additional events? - YES! Please opt-in to keeping in contact with us; or sign up for updates on our webpage. In 2023 we plan to host the inaugural class of fellows for the Justice Freeman Fellowship. The fellowship is a 40 hr per week paid fellowship for high school upperclassmen. Fellows are paired with local lawyers, legal departments, and/or legislators for a summer of professional enrichment and development.
