Part of our mission to Rebuild, Uplift and Empower is to preserve and perpetuate the cultural heritage through education, artistic, intellectual, social activities and services that are in the best interests of the entire community. The motion picture, Black Panther II has become more than a movement, more than just beautiful black art in motion — it has become a pure and true legend. Our youth can see themselves in the characters, adults rave over the revolutionary tone used and all people of all races enjoy the fantasticalness of one of (if not the) best Marvel movies to ever hit pop culture. It is a project worth teaching in class (and not just film school). It is a moment in time that will never be forgotten and should be celebrated. So many of us have received life and love through watching those who look and sound like us. This resonance makes such a worldly impact. This film reminds us that connecting to something bigger than and beyond each of us gives us power, insight and confidence to move forward with courage and self love. We should all have access to this film to use as a tool for growth and empowerment. North Omaha Community Partnership's intention is to offer a viewing free of charge to our youth and families in our community to provide cultural enrichment and to promote self love. We hope that you will join us to make it possible. All sponsorships and donations are tax deductible. The movie event will take place on Tuesday November 15th at 6pm at Great Escape Regal Cinemas. Admission will include popcorn and candy. In conclusion, we will host a "Dinner and Dialogue" event inviting the community out for dinner and discussion of the movie and how it impacted them.
