Thinking that maybe I could try to play some jazz music with people again. Would take a bit to get back up to speed w/ a list from a group for gigs, but not too long. I'd say I'm mostly a "middle of the road" player. Competent enough to gig w/ bands that do "backgroundy" (word? LOL) kinda gigs playing the usual standards. Not a great soloist, but after shedding tunes would be able to take a couple choruses without grinding things to a halt :) Pretty good with my rhythm section comping, I'd say, and would be happy to play support to a singer (but am likely not good enough to be the sole instrument accompanying a singer for a duo kinda thing).
