45 yo man new to the area looking to start a music project. Serious (and talented) enough to record and play locally. Music, especially singing, is my passion and I have an album's worth of original songs, and also love to do covers. I love covering Elvis especially, but with bass vocals. Also: Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley), Patience (Guns N Roses), Smooth (Santana), Back to Black, What a Wonderful World, Yesterday, and lots more of all different styles.
I primarily am a songwriter, singer, and rhythm guitarist (acoustic). I also have, and can play to some extent: electric bass, violin, keys. People seem to like my voice, not so much for it's technical precision, but for it's uniqueness in two ways: it's very deep, and I sing sort of "operatically" at times. Loudly and lots of slow vibrato. I also have a very good range of about 5 octaves (check out the falsetto towards the end of "Maybe You'll Meet Someone".
Looking for singers and/or musicians to work with. Hit me up if you like my style and think we'd work well together. All instruments and age ranges welcome. Someone with a higher vocal range would be a good fit (of any gender but I think a woman's voice would compliment it well), and of course we're going to need bass and drums. Please be reliable, able to practice weekly, and please no really heavy drinkers or regular hard drug users.
