Hi, there is a big Brunswick town council vote tomorrow night (Monday, 11/7/22) at the town hall for a 180 day moritorium on a proposed building project off of Maquoit Road in Brunswick, where a developer is proposing 900 homes be built on a 283 parcel of land that drains into Maquoit Bay.
More than 700 other housing units have been approved in the last few months in Brunswick, with just shy of 200 more under review (all in addition to the 900 above). This will increase Brunswick’s population size by 8-9% in a two year period. Are schools, the sewer district, roads, and city services ready for this increase?
