Titled “Rain and Sun” this exhibit is about the ups and downs of transitioning into American life as a refugee. It is often said that after every storm, the sun will rise again. In my world, however, the rain and the sun are equally anticipated. They fade into one another and often times they are intertwined. I do not wish for one to end so that the other may follow but rather I admire them the same. While the sun provides warmth and comfort, storms have a chaotic essence to them that I am all too familiar with. If one should bask in the light of the sun too long you forget why you appreciate it. One must learn to navigate through the storm and the sun with gratitude. Email for details
