Conga or Cajon player needed for acoustic tropical roots-rock band. Our long-time drummer just retired, and we would like to try replacing him with a percussionist, instead of a full drum kit drummer. We're going for a more "island friendly" sound. Would prefer an experienced, veteran player The Lost Pelican Band has been playing here on Kauai since 1998, in various incarnations. None of us are necessarily in it for the money, but we are not opposed to gigging when opportunities arise. It's all about finding the right people who can have fun playing together. Once that magic happens, the opportunities seem more likely to happen. In our experience, there's only one way to find out - come and play!
